‘Noting Dartmouth,’ says The Mock Review
Following the 2022 ORCS in DeKalb, Illinois, The Mock Review with Ben & Drew gave its comments and reactions to the most recent competitions. In the podcast, about to finish up the episode, the two noted they failed to mention a standout team: Dartmouth College. They recalled how Dartmouth had not previously had such strong teams and mentioned they think the college’s teams are on the rise.
“I hope people are noting Dartmouth. They’re looking like they’re gonna be a strong contender. And you gotta think, Dartmouth is such a good school, you gotta expect they’re gonna be very, very competitive in years to come… it seems like they’re really on the rise and to have 2 teams do that well makes me definitely have my eye on them moving forward.”
Dartmouth College’s teams were the two teams just below the cutoff for Nationals qualification from ORCS. They each finished the weekend in DeKalb with 5 ballots in their favor and 3 against. The cutoff for Nationals was 5.5 in favor and 2.5 against.
While the recognition is a nice pat on the back for team, Dartmouth won’t be taking next season lightly. If anything, the team has more to live up to, but more importantly, unfinished business.
