Matthew Monroe, or as his teammates like to call him, “Matty Ice” is from Ormond Beach, FL and studies Biology (but he’s NOT Pre-Med!). Psycho alert! Matthew originally joined the team because of peer pressure and because it seemed like a fun, theatrical outlet. Now he’s happy he was peer pressured into trying out because mock trial is his favorite group on campus! Matthew loves the awesome people and wonderful community mock trial brings. Outside of mock trial, Matthew is a part of the Displaced Theatre Company, is a tour guide, does lighting design, Irish dances, is a bioresearcher, and works on the O-farm. For fun, Matthew likes to hang out with friends and explore nature in Hanover and the Upper Valley. His favorite mock trial memory is bye-busting at regionals. One crazy fun fact about Matthew is that he has webbed toes. If Matthew was a kitchen appliance, he would be a French press because he believes that sometimes the best results come from a little bit of patience and a slow, deliberate process.
