Introducing our Nebs!

From left to right: Amol Bhingarde '28, Noah Canada '28, Jenna Lodge '28, Sofia Piraino '27, Atticus Prinn '28, Colin Jung '28, and Phoebe Kim '28

After 3 long days of tryouts and over 75 tryouts, The Dartmouth Mock Trial Society selected 7 new members! This eclectic group of ‘27s and ‘28s hail from across the country, some with prior mock trial experience and some ready to dive in. We already love them, and we are so excited for you to meet them as well!

ATTICUS PRINN ‘28

Atticus is from Yarmouth, Maine and is joining the team as a witness with a killer Boston accent. Atticus is a prospective Government (yawn) and English major. Atticus’s hobbies are writing, listening to music and watching movies/TV, and his hidden talent is whistling When Atticus isn’t mocking or doing one of his favorite hobbies, you are likely to find him at Collis reviewing soups or studying in the library. Atticus joined mock trial because he’s interested in law and used to do theater, and “Mock Trial seems like the perfect intersection of both.” What excites Atticus the most about Mock trial is becoming closer with all these great people, and to getting into action in the courtroom (we can’t wait to watch him go!)

PHOEBE KIM ‘28

Phoebe hails from Closter, New Jersey and is an attorney. She is a Cognitive Science and Education major. At Dartmouth, she is also involved in The Subtleties (A capella group), the Alexander Hamilton Society, KSA, and is a Great Issue Scholar. Her hobbies are reading, writing, drawing, Kumdo and her hidden talent is that she can give you a full tour of the MET and MoMA museums. When she isn’t mocking, you can find Phoebe in a 3fb cubicle or Still North! Phoebe joined mock trial because she helped restart the mock trial team at her high school her senior year and loved the process of developing a line of argument from a story. She is looking forward to collaborating with everyone to breathe life into an abstract storyline!

NOAH CANADA ‘28

Noah is from Park City, Utah and is both a witness and an attorney (#doubletrouble). He is a Neuroscience and Government major (yikes!) Other than mock trial, he is a writer for The Dartmouth. His hobbies are Skiing, biking, reading, and watching CSPAN. His craziest talent is that he can taste the difference between organic and inorganic fruit. When he’s not doing mock trial or sleeping, find Noah at President Beilock's Office (what a jokester) or studying in the stacks. He joined mock trial because it will help me develop the skills I need to succeed in law school and into a meaningful career as a litigator. He is most looking forward to Being a part of an amazing community of funny, talented people and competing with them outside of Hanover.

AMOL BHINGARDE ‘28

Amol is from Edison, New Jersey (record number of New Jerseyans on Mock) and is a witness. He is a Government major (of course). He is also a part of the film club and he is a Great Issue Scholar. He enjoys watching movies, biking, taking photos, and reading, and his craziest talent is that he can move his ears up and down. When he’s not mocking, you can find him at the Hop eating strawberries and raspberries. He joined mock because he enjoyed doing Model Un in high school (Good choice switching to the superior public speaking discipline). He is looking forward to getting to know everyone on the team and competing at tournaments!

SOFIA PIRAINO ‘27

Sofia is an attorney from Phoenix, Arizona. She is a Government major (boring!) She is also involved in the Dartmouth Prison Justice Initiative, the D-Brief Podcast and the Dartmouth Law Journal. Her hobbies are cooking, thrifting, mountain biking, and her hidden talent is that she’s great at hula hooping. She loves a good woccom (who doesn’t), likes to eat the Hop, and studies in Sanborn. She joined the squad because she loves the mixture of creativity and competition and the close team culture. She is looking forward to learning more about the law and the courtroom,

Jenna Lodge ‘28

Jenna is from Sandwich, Massachusetts (gotta be a made-up place) and is a witness. She is a physics major (first ever physics MockStar?!?) She is also a part of the Decibelles, an a-capella group. Her hobbies are musical theater, singing and thrifting and her hidden talent is that she can do a mean cartwheel. She joined mock because she enjoys acting and was intrigued by the challenge of playing a character in a new setting other than on stage. She is looking forward to being a member of such a strong community on campus as well as traveling together for competitions.

COLIN JUNG ‘28

Colin is an attorney from Chicago, Illinois. Colin is a philosophy major, and is involved with the Aquinas House, The Dartmouth Law Journal, and the DOC (aspirationally). Colin competed in mock trial in high school at Phillips Exeter Academy. Colin enjoys reading theology, and watching football (Bear down Chicago Bears!) Colin’s craziest talent is playing the King’s Gambit in rapid chess. When Colin isn’t doing mock trial, find him at the Aquinas House or Sanborn library. Colin joined mock trial for the strong community and “my love for the art.” He is looking forward to winning! (So are we!)

We are so excited to have these 7 and can’t wait to watch them in action this fall!
